Rock & Earth Boring
Rock and Earth Boring Specialised Contractors since 1985.
- Earth Boring
Earth boring for residential and commercial sites through soil profiles up to sticky clay, to depths of up to 12 metres. We operate augers ranging from 300 mm to 900 mm in diameter. Where ground conditions stiffen or become variable, larger rock augers and core barrels are utilised to maintain progress. - Rock Boring
Rock boring for foundation piles requiring socketing into rock on residential and commercial sites. Works are carried out to depths of up to 12 metres, with diameters ranging from 300 mm to 900 mm. We regularly bore into hard Class III rock using rock augers and core barrels to achieve engineered founding requirements. - Core Barrels
Core barrels are used in hard or variable ground conditions where standard rock augers are ineffective, including fractured rock, boulders and cemented layers. They allow controlled boring and clean socket formation for bored piles and piers, maintaining bore diameter and verticality to meet engineered founding requirements.
Rock & Earth Excavation Services
Rock and Earth Excavation - Supporting Hard Ground Works
- Rock Sawing
Rock sawing for clean, straight cuts to retaining walls, trenches and landscaping features. This method provides precise edges with reduced noise and vibration compared to breaking methods. We utilise Austramac Flashcut rock saws fitted with 1400 mm and 2200 mm diamond blades. - Rock Breaking
Breaking boulders and solid rock into manageable sections. This process is used to remove unstable masses, clear working areas and prepare sites for further excavation or construction works. - Rock Hammering & Rock Ripping
Hydraulic hammers and ripping attachments are used to break down stubborn rock layers where sawing or boring is not practical. These methods allow effective rock reduction without the need for blasting or other highly disruptive techniques. - Excavation Works
Detailed excavation works carried out using our bobcat, 2.7 tonne, 20 tonne or 30 tonne excavators, supporting rock and earthworks across residential and commercial sites.
